Winnie, our beautiful 14-week-old female silver and black dapple dachshund, needs a new home. This is an incredibly difficult and emotional decision for our family, but we must do what’s best for both dogs.

JUST TO CONFIRM WE ARE NOT A BREEDER AND WE DON'T HAVE MOTHER WITH US AS WE BOUGHT HER ON THE 1ST JANUARY TO BE AN ADDITION TO OUR FAMILY.

Sadly, our two dogs haven’t been able to settle together as we had hoped. While we’ve tried to make it work, the dynamic between them hasn’t been the right fit, and for their happiness and well-being, we’ve made the heart wrenching decision to find Winnie a home where she can truly thrive.

A big factor in this decision is our older male dachshund, who has not yet been castrated. After seeking further veterinary advice, we have been recommended to wait until he is older than we first anticipated before neutering, as early castration in dachshunds can lead to developmental issues, including an increased risk of joint problems and growth concerns. While we fully intend to have him neutered at the appropriate time, the wait means that the tension between him and Winnie is unlikely to improve in the near future. Given the challenges we’ve faced with their dynamic, we know that keeping both dogs together is not what’s best for either of them—especially for Winnie, who deserves to be in an environment where she can feel completely safe, relaxed, and happy.

All that being said, Winnie is an absolute gem of a puppy! She is full of love, playful energy, and that classic dachshund charm (with a hint of stubbornness of course!). Winnie will be the perfect addition to your home if you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and utterly adorable companion.

Meet Winnie:
🐶 Personality: Winnie is a little bundle of love and excitement! She is curious, playful, and full of mischief, but also adores cuddles, belly rubs, and following her humans around like a shadow. If you want a best friend who will always greet you with a wagging tail, a bark or 2 and endless affection, she’s the one!
🏡 The Perfect Home for Winnie:
Winnie would most likely thrive as the only dog in the household, as her experiences with our older dachshund have made her a little wary of other dogs. However, she is fantastic with people and has grown up this far in a busy family environment with three children, who she adores. That being said, we believe she would do best in a home where she is the centre of attention—whether that’s with a single person, a couple, or a family with older children. She deserves a home where she will be truly cherished.
🛏 Sleeping & Training:
Winnie is already well on her way to being a dream companion, she currently sleeps soundly at night as long as she has her hot water bottle, plenty of blankets to burrow under and a cheeky treat before bedtime. She has been crate/pen training for sleeping and semi toilet trained, meaning she’s already making great progress and just needs continued encouragement and consistency to maintain both these areas in her new home.
🐾 Socialization:
To help her gain confidence, Winnie has been attending puppy socialisation sessions with a dog walker, which will continue until she finds her new home. This will give her the best start in becoming a well-adjusted and happy little pup.

✅ Fully up to date on all vaccinations, including kennel cough (next due Jan 26)
✅ No current health concerns
✅ Up to date with flea & worm treatments
✅ Microchipped and ready for transfer to her new owner

Bringing Winnie into Your Home
Letting Winnie go is truly heart breaking for us, but we know that in the right home, she will flourish and be the loving, loyal companion she was meant to be. She has already brought so much joy, laughter, and warmth into our home, we know she will do the same for her new family. However, need to prioritise our eldest dog in this situation, and we know it’s the right decision for both of them.
We want to find the perfect match for Winnie—someone who will cherish her as much as we do. This is not just about finding her a home, but the right home, where she will be loved, adored, and given the attention she thrives on. 🐾 Rehoming Fee & Finding the Right Home

We are asking for a rehoming fee of £995, which reflects Winnie’s care, vaccinations, socialisation, and all of the equipment that will come with her. Our priority is ensuring she finds a loving, committed home where she will be happy and well cared for.

We know this is a big decision, and we want to reassure potential owners that Winnie has been truly cherished in our home. This is not just about finding her any home but the right home, where she will receive the love and attention she thrives on. We will consider all inquiries thoughtfully to ensure she finds the best match.
