Puppy Feeding Guide
It is highly recommended that you feed your puppy four meals a day up until the age of 4 months.
This can then be reduced to three times a day until they are 6 months old. Once your puppy passes the 6 month mark, they should be able to settle back into a consistent 2 meals a day.
Protect your pet's delicate tummy
A puppy's tummy is very delicate to new foods, so all should be introduced gradually over a 10 day period.
Always buy the best food that you can afford as this is more likely to be nutritional to your pet. You can choose from dry foods which are usually chicken, rice or corn based, fresh meat, or semi-moist and tinned foods.

Dog treats
Popular doggy "treats" can contain a lot of sugar, so should only be given sparingly. Instead you could offer your puppy other forms of rewards such as a new toy, play time or pets.
Prioritise play time with your puppy
Good eating etiquette for dogs
Encourage good eating habits and etiquette from the outset. Allowing your puppy peace and quiet to enjoy their meal is vital and never remove their food bowl while they are eating as this may cause anxiety and lead to aggression.
Guide for positive puppy training
It’s not a good idea to feed your dog from the table or off your plate as this will inevitably result in noisy and interrupted family mealtimes with your pet barking and begging for morsels.
Avoid feeding before travelling in the car and just before or after exercise as this may lead to a sudden bloat which can be dangerous for your dog.
